The last stop on the Memorial Day vacation was Siena. We arrived in the evening, grabbed some dinner then got some sleep for a whirlwind day of sightseeing around the small Medieval town. We climbed to the top of the Torre di Mangia and checked out the Cathedral, which has to be the most ornately decorated building I have ever set foot in. Unfortunately we were a little late for some of the pre-Palio revelry, but that just means there needs to be another visit in the future.
