Pensacola tourism

I'd like to think I'm the kind of person who makes the most of everywhere they are, so I'm trying to do that here in Pensacola.

I'm lucky enough to have connections over at the Blue Angels, got to tour their whole facility. I also hit up the beach an finally climbed the lighthouse and visited the Naval aviation museum.

Sightseeing in New Orleans

The mom said she wanted to see me one more time before I moved across the Atlantic Ocean, and who could blame her, I'm super fun. The long weekend for MKL day was a perfect opportunity. And anywhere is more fun than Pensacola, so I drove and mom flew down and we hit the town!

The World War II museum was amazing, we were there for four hours and didn't see all of it. Can't recommend it enough.

Saying goodbye to DC

I am going to miss Washington, DC more than I ever imagined I would when I moved there. I felt so at home, walking the monuments, riding the Metro, and talking the talk with all the various wonks. I didn't hit everything on my DC bucket list, but I did check off the last few Smithsonian museums I needed so that I have visited all of them!

I also had an amazing farewell party thrown by my fantastic friends on New Year's Eve. It was a apt way to wrap up my time in the city and I already miss all my friends like crazy.

On my very last night in town I had drinks with my best friends and dinner with the best family. I somehow managed to hold back tears for the whole night. But I miss their faces so much.
